Byrkjelo is a village in the municipality of Gloppen in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. It is located about halfway between the villages of Sandane (in Gloppen) and Skei (in Jølster) along the European route E39 highway.

Nordfjord (English: Northern fjord—in contrast to Sunnfjord) is a traditional district of Norway. The region is located in the northern part of Sogn og Fjordane county in Western Norway.
