The Berkshires (/ˈbɜrkʃərz/ or /ˈbɜrkʃɪərz/), is a highland geologic region located in the western parts of Massachusetts and Connecticut, although the term “Berkshires” is normally used by locals in reference to the portion of the mountain range that lies within Massachusetts.
