Some learning, selected for this occasion 🙂

The Prix de Rome (pronounced: [pʁi də ʁɔm]) was a French scholarship for arts students, initially for painters and sculptors, that was established in 1663 during the reign of Louis XIV of France.

Berger is a surname in both German, and French, although there is no etymological connection between the names in the two languages.
