Wildlife traditionally refers to non-domesticated animal species, but has come to include all plants, fungi, and other organisms that grow or live wild in an area without being introduced by humans.

Refuge is a place or state of safety. It may also refer to a more specific meaning:

A peninsula (Latin: paeninsula from paene “almost” and insula “island”) is a piece of land that is bordered by water on three sides but connected to mainland.

Michigan /ˈmɪʃɨɡən/ is a state in the Great Lakes region of the Midwestern United States. The name Michigan is the French form of the Ojibwa word mishigamaa, meaning “large water” or “large lake”.
